Scrap Our Stash July Sketch.

I'm here again with this month's second scrap our stash challenge!!

Scrap Our Stash is a site/group that inspires you to use your stash and supplies. They do 2 challenges a month - one is a stash challenge (1st of the month) and one is a sketch challenge with a stash prompt (15th of the month).  The Design Team examples are shown everyday to inspire you to put together a great page!  To learn more you'll have to check out their site at http://scrapourstash.blogspot.com/

Isn't this a great sketch? My only problem was the lists- they provided me with a serious challenge. Gotta dig around in my scraps especially with the photos I have to scrap! I picked Sangria, Timberwolf, and uniball pen. I'm hoping I did the challenge some decent try.

Thought I'd show you some close ups of the page. Show you some of the small details.

I loved these two photos of Sienna and I. Seriously, I can't get enough of her and playing outdoors- I've been utilizing it at all opportunities. She's proven to be such a good girl and I'm such a proud puppy aunt.  I also thought these pictures would  go perfect with Illustrated Faith- She Blooms line. Being I don't have any embellishments for the line, I fussy cut up a storm to create some added pieces to the page.

I hope you enjoyed my page for this challenge! I can't wait to see what you guys come up with- join us at Scrap Our Stash's blog and enter your page!! You'll have an opportunity to win a great prize :)

Make Ahead Monday on Tuesday.

To say my month has been hectic is an understatement, but now that I think I'm on the positive side of everything - I'm excited to share with you my project life!

I showed you last my "Summer Before I Turn 30" cover. Now I'm placing pages of events thus far into summer. I'm not going in any real order  and my summer will be going all the way until my birthday in September.

I thought to begin with my garden and playing with Sienna. Outdoorsy theme put together. I went through my stash of PL cards- I'm  big fan of destash sale sites as well as Studio Calico sales because I've now accumulated more cards than I'll use in a life time.  But I'm in love with their style and sturdy product as well as can't pass a deal even if its only one card i really want.  Tell me it's not just me.

Beyond that point, I found this card with veggies on it, worked perfectly for my garden. I thought also the progress report card worked perfectly to journal how my garden is growing. To write about Sienna's new love, I thought this chase adventure was spot on. Feels like studio calico always has a card for every moment and using their embellishments add the right touch.

For this page I also cut the top pocket of the sleeve off. I thought maybe I'd create some variation in the page size as well as pocket patterns throughout the book. So on the back side,  I decided being I only had a few pictures from the 5k I ran- it would work for a smaller page.

As I've told you a few times already, this 5k was a mess at the beginning - even the end really. But when I saw the card, Wake Up and Be Awesome, thought it was perfect for this. I also couldn't get enough of the 4x6 bright color rays card, I cut it to fit the 3x4 slot so I could use it twice. I also added a smiley emoji with some popdots to give it some dimension.

I love how both spreads turned out so far! And already love seeing how I can use my supplies together that I've been hoarding for this project for months. My summer so far has definitely been interesting and hopefully I'll be able to document it well.

Can't wait to see how you guys do your project life!! Please share!! Also - follow me on Instagram and Pinterest to see sneaks and ideas I love!!

Scrap Our Stash July Stash.

I'm so excited to tell you all that I am continuing my journey with Scrap Our Stash. I've been asked to continue on the team for a second term and I couldn't say no to that! It's a wonderful team, positive ladies and awesome challenges. I'm honored! Thank you again!!

I love this month's cover- but then again, when do I not? But seriously- the circles- the colors. All of it! I wanted to layer my circles to kind of look like the circles on the cover.   In my head- the cover of the book looked slightly different so we'll pretend they are layered more on the cover.  I used up some more of the scraps I had - with choosing the colors of aqua spectrum.  I was digging around in my stash- where I realized that the Crate Paper Journey line had a lot of the aqua I was going for. So it felt good to use up that collection as well!

I've already wrote about the race this photo is from. But I hadn't done a scrapbook page about it- I thought it was perfect for this page. I was able to trace around it while fitting everything in it so I could use it on one of the layers of circles. Crate Paper Journey also fit well with the running theme. Life is a journey and this is definitely a moment I wanted to capture. Getting third place honestly? Will probably not happen again- its an opportunity to get to experience it. Thank god for small races!

I can't wait to see what you all come up with from this challenge! It's such a fun cover- you should all give it a try! Don't forget to come back later this month to see the sketch challenge!!
